RPAC Event - Graeme Connors

On July 10, the RMCMC was privileged to present CM legend Graeme Connors in concert with his “The Road Less Travelled” at the Redland Performing Arts Centre, Cleveland. The inspiration for the RMCMC to present Graeme at the RPAC came from Neil Campbell.

The show itself was a sellout and Graeme held the enthusiastic audience in the palm of his hand with his talent as a performing artist and as a prolific songwriter.

The RMCMC was also privileged to provide Graeme’s warm-up act which was performed by a quartet of Club members, Dehlia & Kevin Brown, Jennie Jones and Allen McMonagle, with excellent responses from the audience.

His parents named him Charles, his friends call him Chuck. He can sing and he noodles on guitar, and loves nothing more than to have everyone singing along with classic songs. A singer/ songwriter/ recording artist from Stockade band & ‘Missy Chrissy’ and ‘ Bluesy End of Town’, his roots go back to Country, Western Swing, Old R&B tunes and Gospel that he first heard from his mother and so many classic easy listening numbers that still echo from 60’s, 70’s, 80’s to the present…where artists keep covering them because everyone just loves them, and knows at least the chorus. He says, “music is meant to be shared with the listeners and they are just as much a part of the moment as the musician”
